I fell in love with Palawan.
I’m a city dweller whose eyes have been opened to just how gorgeous the Philippines really is. Away from the concrete roads and on to the dusty orange pathways marking our journey to the port where the boat calmly sits on the blue-green water - like a friend quietly anticipating the voyage, eager to show us the beauty that awaits us.
Its the untouched places like the small islands that comprise of Palawan such as Coron, Banul, Makinit, etc that makes you despise the commercialism that has robbed natural wonders such as Boracay of its authenticity (even though tourism will help with the economy.) The view is utterly breath taking and the experience is one of a kind. This trip not only made me fall in love with Palawan. But i just rekindled the love for the country i call my home.
